Intro

I worked with Maskrosbarn to redesign their website with two core goals: to make it easier for young people to get help and to strengthen the organization's fundraising potential. This included a new digital chat experience tailored to youths in need, while also supporting donor engagement.

Design

The new chat interface was designed to feel safe, fast, and welcoming — especially on mobile. It enables young users to reach out for help intuitively, without barriers or distractions. I also restructured the site's information architecture to better speak to youth, while clearly separating content for adult supporters and donors. This dual-audience challenge required carefully balancing tone, visual design, and navigation.

User Testing

To validate the effectiveness of the chat and the new site structure, I conducted usability tests with both young users and adults. The insights directly informed iterations that made the experience more accessible, engaging, and emotionally supportive.

Result

The redesign significantly improved engagement on mobile, reduced user drop-off from the help section, and clarified the donation flow for adult visitors. The new chat tool lowered the barrier for first contact, offering a faster way for vulnerable youth to reach out for support.
